But I have to say that for me, the church has been the people, the individual followers of Christ really loving each other and those out of the church. Fortunately, I've been on the receiving end of this kind of love. I also think of the Mother Teresa types. Those willing to literally get down in the gutter with the "untouchables" of the world and touch them, give them comfort. Being the hands of Jesus.
